Studio View--Ninety Degree Draft

This is a (rough) studio snapshot of 8 of 10 30 x 42" drawings from the gouache and colored  pencil drawings Ninety Degree Draft. These drawings and text are a kind of journal of the preparation for and time spent in Antarctica--including the application process, medical check-ups, and then time spent there. The drawings are done from digital images, videos and drawings done at McMurdo Station, Cape Royds, Cape Crozier and the South Pole. Green arrows direct your eyes from image to image and create a chronology of this journey.
